The two projects I created this semester both relate to a cafe theme. With the calendar design project, I wanted the users to understand where coffee comes from to represent a 'farm-to-table' understanding. The second project aims to create cultural awareness of cha chaan tengs: Hong Kong-style cafes. As a Chinese American, I grew up eating traditional Hong Kong-style desserts and wanted to share this simple pleasure with the Korean demographic as a way to spread Hong Kong culture.

My projects communicate vibrant and positive energy through design. The calendar design motivates viewers to keep breaking one’s limits throughout the year with energetic and comical pole dance graphics. The rebranding project of Windly aims to refine the brand message to better communicate the power of their innovative global reselling SaaS tool.

My projects include a calendar design inspired by the traditional art of Kazakh ornament making, and the brand identity design for the sustainable fashion brand - Ages & Ages. By taking the traditional motifs as a basis, the first project - the Calendar Design - aims to shed light on the less prominent ornaments in Kazakh traditions. The Brand Identity project explores visual possibilities for the first environmentally conscious clothing brand in Kazakhstan.

My projects are consisted of two parts: a dessert-themed 12 month calendar design and logo design for a new brand, Froggy Ploggers. The calendar design was created with a hope that people using this calendar would be able to feel the imagine the joy after a delicious bite of desserts. The brand identity project aims to encourage activity of plogging (picking up litter while jogging), which is a healthy and effective solution to environmental problems around us.

The Calendar Design has a theme of 'isometric' and 'fractal', so please enjoy from a distant perspective of the repetitiveness of fractal. The Brand Identity design targest 'Dokdabang,' a cafe in Sinchon you may well know, and tried to implement more 'newtro' look and feel to the logo and the applications.
